Last year I announced my return to blogging/streaming on Twitch and then immediately canceled it with a sudden post update saying nothing was going to happen any time soon.

The blog isn't going to be deleted or disappear, anytime soon, I hope at least.. but there will be no more creatures posts or C3 or DS streams on Twitch. (I've moved to streaming on a new site called Mixer anyway.) That being said, I have a strong interest in playing Creatures 2 and maybe even Creatures 1. I'm going to try to purchase the Albian Years in the near future to play them, who knows I might even stream them on Mixer! In the event I do I will post a link to them on Creatures Caves in bibbles.

Now if you're wondering what suddenly changed in my life to shut down my intent to play and blog C3 keep reading. Right after I had decided to continue with what I was doing on this site my 14 year old cat Taylor, whom was my baby and I loved very much, passed away from a very painful, traumatic bone marrow cancer. She had been suffering with it for years but we never knew it because the cancer hadn't advanced enough to affect her every day life until the last year or two. Right as I decided to make the return post her health took a sudden and dramatic turn for the worst. We fought to save her until the very end when we learned what it was that was making her sick and also that there was no cure. Anything we could have tried to do to prolong her life would have left her in a lot of pain and misery. Her passing was very hard for me and I spent what seemed like a very long time in depression as I grieved.

All that being said, i'm done grieving and i'm very much a happy person today. I'm not depressed or sad anymore and remember all of the memories of her with fondness and happiness!

I wanted everyone to know I didn't just chicken out or suddenly, irresponsibly grow bored with the idea as soon as I posted my return to the Creatures community. I apologize if I got anyone's hopes up (not that I would expect my blog was that popular!) and then disappointed anyone. I've moved on from the sadness of grieving and also playing C3 and Docking Station, but like I said I still have a strong interest in C2 and 1 and want to buy those games and play it and stream it. I don't think i'll update this blog anymore.

I wish you all lots of lemons and shee cheese in life!
Peace! :)Kittie885http://www.blogger.com/profile/09882789640560680722noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-621182310791072932.post-45145002530182829172016-02-17T11:28:00.003-05:002016-02-17T11:28:24.659-05:00Some News You might have noticed nothing has happened here in a while. Unfortunately things in my life have taken a turn beyond my control and without getting into details I regret to inform you that there probably won't be any posts anytime soon.
That's not to say I won't ever make any more posts, and there won't ever be any more Twitch streams. I still have the "want" to stream more Creatures on Twitch and post about them here. The circumstances have to be just right for that right now, though, and the chances of me having enough time and ability to do so are very slim.
All I'm trying to say is don't be surprised if this site appears to become abandoned. Also, don't be surprised if after months of nothing there suddenly is a post.Kittie885http://www.blogger.com/profile/09882789640560680722noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-621182310791072932.post-47597334967340427532015-12-17T14:50:00.000-05:002015-12-17T14:50:22.413-05:00First Stream I got my first Creatures stream of this world under my belt. I must say it didn't go too well. Just as I prepared to stream my elderly cat had a #2 accident all over the place, so I had to postpone for 15 or so minutes unfortunately.

Streaming without voice is more difficult than I thought. You would think it would be easier. As the stream went on I became increasingly aware that since nobody could hear my reactions, and nobody had explanations of what I was doing, everything just seemed kind of bland.

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Banun'zo and Apya had another baby, it was a new baby boy which I'm very happy about. It means I can introduce a youth stage female from Nyrn when the boys are youth age without any problems.
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Unfortunately Apya died from mysterious causes, I suspect starvation of some sort. He became obsessed with the drums by the ocean and wouldn't do anything else as much as I begged him to. It was a very sad passing. Banun'zo stayed by his side for a long time before he disappeared into a cloud. And after that Banun'zo seemed to become very depressed and would do nothing but sleep, even when presented with food.
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"> I finally convinced her to do other things, but the only other things she'd do is try to approach the jungle, which i'm figuring out is the volcano area. I don't know why she became obsessed with the jungle. Her loneliness continues to be extremely high ever since Apya's passing, poor thing.

Pictured above are three norns: Apya, the father.. Tiger Eye, the son.. and Banun'zo, the mother. Banun'zo is the resulting progeny of a competition between five Cff norns. Apya is a CFG norn hatched specifically to be added to the gene pool. They have had a son, Tiger Eye.

What I want to do is explore the overall intelligence of the CFG norns (cff also alright but prefer CFG) down the line. So far the norns have been extremely independent, too much so. They have been taking care of themselves far more than I expected. In fact, I've never been able to step in to help them with anything, as much as I have wanted to. Every time I try, they take care of themselves! This pleases me and it also frustrated me. It makes the game a little boring, but if it continues several dozen generations down the line then I will have my answer.

I have to decide (and maybe with input and ideas from you guys I can come up with a solution) how I want to proceed with the breeding. Ideally I would like to have only a mother and father and their children in the world at a time to prevent inbreeding and have a tighter control over who breeds with who. However, this prevents me from being able to observe the social interactions and social culture of the creatures. In order to prevent inbreeding I would have had to export each child when they reach youth, which would leave just the parents to interact only with each other and their babies, ever. Bah.

So I thought to myself why not just do what I have done in the past and have a single queen among a bunch of males. I could focus on the genetic line on the maternal side. While this might give me results in the end they would be a little loose, meaning I wouldn't be able to control the male's passing of genetics and who the fathers are, leaving room for more genetic mistakes. (Meaning some inferior male's genes will get into the pool) In theory the inferior genes would eventually get bred out since I am selectively breeding on the mothers side.. but it would be slow going for.. indefinitely.

These are the only two ideas I have at the moment and i'm not pleased with the con's of both of them. I wish I could find a happy medium somewhere in between.. but I haven't come up with one yet. I have to brainstorm more. If anyone has ideas feel free to enlighten me!Kittie885http://www.blogger.com/profile/09882789640560680722noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-621182310791072932.post-91226931043087745222015-12-16T14:05:00.001-05:002015-12-16T14:05:30.734-05:00Why we can't have a family tree Well I just spent the last two hours trying to map out, from the beginning, the family tree of all the previous norns in this blog starting with the very first, Peni. It started out really difficult, and evolved into impossible! Some of it is because I lost my little booklet that listed all of the norns and their children, some of it is because I never blogged all of the daughters when they were born (they were simply exported without mention so I don't know who they all were and when exported later as the queen I never knew who their mothers were), and some of it simply because any program that I found to use to create the family tree never allowed for inbreeding (to put it simply). Sometimes the queen would produce children with her own sons, it happens in Creatures let's face it.
Because of this I found myself trying to find ways around this.. which ended up with really WEIRD family tree branches, or even duplicates of the same norn! This simply wouldn't do, yet I was still continuing, thinking "I can just explain these anomalies with text to those who are looking at the tree.." But then I ran across the next line of queens being imported and no mother was listed, which is fine.. except the program required me to have her linked to the rest of the family somehow. At first I just thought "I'll link her as Peni's daughter.." But then I thought to myself "no, that would be lying! And to be sure there will be more like her that I'll have to lie about! Eventually half the family tree will be a lie!" and one thing I really don't want to do is lie about who is related to who, because that makes the family tree kind of useless. The whole point of a family tree is to see who is related to who!

When I created the blog Confessions Of A Shee and began writing in it I never planned to have a family tree so I never kept enough records or data about anything. Unfortunately this means that listing everyone in a family tree is impossible if you want to be accurate. It's just a whole big cluster, which is a shame because I was really looking forward to seeing the completed tree myself.

If anyone wants to follow my new norn tribes feel free to create family trees to follow. I will be doing my best to list all the fathers and mothers of each child (unlike last time) which should make it easier to create a family tree. Sorry if my own lack of family tree tracking has disappointed anyone. To be honest it has disappointed myself because the idea was really fun to me.

But we do have the future to look forward to! Chin up!Kittie885http://www.blogger.com/profile/09882789640560680722noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-621182310791072932.post-38141896495817146372015-12-15T16:29:00.001-05:002015-12-15T16:29:25.780-05:00More Creatures Blogging In The Future Maybe? I've been motivated to want to continue this blog about my creatures adventures. I took a long break with Creatures Online to look forward to, but then it stalled and I got frustrated. With the idea that Creatures Online has been put on the back burner and may possibly never come to fruition I have grown a little more interest in creatures again.

I still have Nyrn and all of the creatures you last read about.. but I want to do it a little differently now that I have Twitch to stream the game on! In this idea I would like to continue with a new genetic experiment, however I have to decide how to form this "documentation".. I don't want to post long posts like this blog is currently made up of, because I want to incorporate my Twitch streams somehow.

I am going to take some time to brainstorm this as well as how to incorporate the genetics of Orika's relatives (there is a long family line in this blog that I don't want to just forget about!) into this new experiment.

To be more specific, I am experimenting with, and exploring, the genetics of Cff's and CFG norns. More information will come in the future when I have a better idea of just how I want to do things!

Stay tuned!Kittie885http://www.blogger.com/profile/09882789640560680722noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-621182310791072932.post-11474952535095784302015-08-17T17:35:00.001-04:002015-08-17T17:35:18.040-04:00List Of Breeds

With my patience tried I plopped her down in the middle of a pair of elevines as you can see here. I smiled as I watched her step inside and manipulate the controls to get it moving, because never before had a norn ridden this thing! I imagined the exitement she must have been feeling as the car gently lead her through the air high above the treetops!..And imagined the path it would tack on it's little wire there accross the waterfall to the other side!.. And would give her a new area to explore... except...

Suddenly it did something completely unexpected! I began to wonder if I had slipped into the Twilight Zone when the car suddenly drifted completely off of it's cable and began as if floating through the air! Orika didn't seem phazed by this and I wonder if she ever knew things were going awry. Orika just continued to gaze with wide eyed wonder at the sights drifting past the window, at the wonderful views, as the car carried her into unknown places. I wonder where it would take her!

To my surprise it stopped just above the first broken glass tube and deposited it there. She landed gracefully, without any injury, but then just stared up in confusion at the car. Either it hadn't carried her as far as she wanted, or she just didn't know why it stopped! I was baffled myself. Why would it stop in mid air where she could not reach it again? Surely this is not a safe place for a norn, they're not supposed to be in this area! Orika continued to stare in disbelief and wouldn't move... I fear even if she did decided to go she wouldn't have a very easy time getting down from this point, so I picked her up and put her back in the cable car, then pressed the button so that it would carry her back up to the bridge area, the way it came.. at least that's what I expected it to do.

Boy was I a sucker for thinking a cable car as broken as that, which had malfunctioned already, would suddenly do what it was expected. Instead of going up, it began to take a zigzag pattern back down toward the forest floor.

It dropped her in the lowest level of the treehouse. There she was safe, and it conveniently dropped her right by a toy and some food, so it wasn't completely a bad journey. Orika happily spent some time there to rest from the long journey, and practiced her musical talents on the horn in front of her. I gave her some local fruits to munch on. I had learned my lesson and decided not to risk putting her back in the cable car and pushing the button again! I began to relax, with her back with the tribe, and watched as her last surviving tribe mates played below.

Try as I might to save her I just couldn't get the hand clicked on the moving Orika fast enough! The cart carried her down... down.. down into the ground! (Orika!!!). Orika herself didn't think she needed saving. She kept her sights firmly set on the future and where it might take her with a happy grin on her face! Unfortunately for me.. Orika soon disappeared into the ground... under the ground.. who knows where it took her. All I know is I could no longer click on her and whenever I try to click on her picture in the norn display I get nothin. I don't know if I'll ever see her again.. Where is she? Will the car carry her forever? Will she die of starvation... or can she even die now?? I may never know.

I returned to Nyrn for the first time in a long while, spurred on by the memory of my norns. I entered a senior citizen world. Just about every norn save for a couple is ancient or old in age and probably gumming their food by now. It was pleasant to find though, that everybody seemed to be having a pretty good life with very few difficulties. As I visited Aku he turned to me after plucking a mushroom from the ground and held it up to show me as he expressed his feelings. Unfortunately there is no source of starch where he currently is staying and i've never been able to convince him to leave his love of mushrooms to look for one. So there he stays, happily studying and exploring the mushrooms that grow. Thankfully they will keep those norns choosing this area free from dying of starvation. Aku and his friends will just have to suffer for now.

Sweet old Arvs is currently the oldest norn in the tribe right now and not even able to walk very far. He limps back and forth in front of the bee hive, completely content with his current location, with a bright smile on his face all the time so i'm confident to think he's happy. His old man walk keeps him from easily moving around but he doesn't mind, and enjoys the warm sunshine and fresh breezes. As I watched him, contemplating how he'll probably be the first of the old man tribe to leave life, Akka and he snuggled together in the cold winter air for a rest.

To my surprise the first to leave was not Arvs at all, but rather Quirin. "Oh, that's a young age to go at!" I thought to myself as I looked over his page. Aku kept him company in his last minutes so that he wouldn't be alone, and though he only lived for a little over three hours, his life was a full one, all the way to age "old"!

In the desert Orika refuses to return to the tribe. Her passion has always been to strike out on her own where no norn has gone before and explore new lands! She's been successful in doing such up to this point, however, with her age came walking issues (genetic trait i'm sure.). I felt so sad for her and shook my head as I watched her repeatedly and without tiring trying to walk over the mound of sand to get at the peppers in front of her. No matter how hard she moved her legs, though, each step either got her nowhere, or moved her backwards. Twice I had lost my patience and grabbed her hand, pulling her forward so she could gobble up the peppers.. each time I left her to check on the other norns and returned she was stuck back on that hill again though. I don't know what i'll do with her. As long as she's happy! She also happens to be the healthiest norn in the whole tribe.

Two more deaths, one after the other presented itself, and once again neither of them was Arvs. I was both happy and sad to find that, though, because while I'm happy Arvs is living quite a long time! I'm also sad to find these particular norns are dieing so soon.

Far away from the rest of the group and any other norn I left Arvyn to play, little did I know it would eventually lead to his death. I was horrified to find him some time later at the bottom of the ocean. I don't know how he got to the ocean, I didn't expect him to, but I blame myself for not watching him. To the rest of the world he will have just left the group never to be seen again, nobody will know what happened to him. But I do, and it's sad.

Back at the group Arvs is having trouble staying awake. He's conveniently parked by the bee hive where honey is within easy reach, yet I cannot convince him to eat any. I was eagerly urging him to eat the honey pot that now lays beside him in this photo when he fell asleep again. He's got the same problem that comes with many adult norns in my tribe, where they sleep more than they eat, because they don't have the energy to do much else. It's a deadly cycle. I can't help but wonder if it's due to their liver organ giving out causing them to not be able to store energy, and when it dips too low they're thrust into this cycle. There's not much I can do about it.

On the other hand Orika remains the happiest norn in the world! Her days continue to be spent eating the abundance of foods, playing with the near by toys (sometimes with me), exploring and sleeping! What more could a norn want. She doesn't seem concerned about lonliness one bit. The only difference between her and the other norns is that she knows the whole english language and listens to me when I suggest things to her. She's a good little norn.

Orika awoke and decided to see what was on the other side of the bridge. She expertly balanced on the thin bridge boards while the cool winds whipped past her from such a height, and to her surprise she found some of the old nuts I had placed there quite a while ago! She indulged in eating some of them when I asked her to, but her real interest was in observing them! They don't grow anywhere in Nyrn after all, where would they have come from? They're rare delicacies.

Aku has taken hold up by the ettin egg layer, beside the volcano. His passion has been the mushrooms that grow there for his health. I caught Orika peeking at me from behind the purple berry bush. I believe in the original C2 the berries this bush provides were poisonous, but careful checking revealed Orika was fine with eating these particular ones, thank god (Because she was popping them in her mouth one after the other like popcorn!). I could only imagine how delicious they must taste right off the bush!

Anya surprised me with another change of colors, darkening into a deep purple as his age advanced. It reminded me that most of the norns are already old by now and many are on their way out. It won't be long before Nyrn may be nearly empty once again. I watched them, considering this, while watching some bad advice being given out. I find it cute that their suggestions for things often are very specific. Anya is suggesting to aleviate being sleepy with sleeping next to something called "dat". Unfortunately the male population never become completely fluent in english. Whatever "dat" is he seems to think it helps you become less sleepy if you sleep next to it.
Arvyn found his way up into the top of the volcano, which brought me some relief. I was worried he would spend the rest of his life by that toy and die there. The coconuts on the other side of the volcano wall grabbed his attention and he began the tough trek up the slope. The odd thing is that there seems to be an invisible wall of some kind between the coconut tree and the volcano wall that prevents him from actually making it there. If I try to lead him by hand it pushes us both away. The only way that he is able to pass is if I pick him up and plop him at the tree.
I checked my norns over with the medical window and found Aku suffering from a lack of muscles. His muscles have completely died, degenerated, whatever you want to call it. Muscles are supposed to regulate gate, make you be able to walk, but Aku seems to be getting around just fine, perhaps because he has a tail fin instead of legs. He enjoys the water of the swamp and it's no wonder since he's a mer norn.
Anya suffers from a lack of liver A, the organ that regulates food/nutrition storage (or bodyfat if you will). Anya is unable to store any energy for the times when there is no food, luckily this shouldn't affect him at all because he lives in a place abundant with food (as you can see!). He shows how happy and content he is in this world with a bright smile over the fruits that surround him!
Akka also suffers from a lack of liver A organ. Like Anya, he doesn't seem to mind, and even takes an interest in the nut dispenser that I plopped down for them to play with. Akka's curious gaze doesn't last long though and soon he goes off to find something else to play with. I was a bit disappointed none of the norns wanted to play with it at all and populate the ground with more nuts. The plants that are growing there are ones I had to plant myself. (Boy I can't wait for more garden box agents!)
Yes I decided to play again today! I got the urge after watching Jessica's latest video - and as soon as I entered the world I was greeted by Anya's glycotoxin infection. Why do you have glycotoxin Anya? Try as I might I could not see the cause. I watched for the longest time to see if she was showing interest in anything she shouldn't have been, but she only remained crouching there with a pitiful look on her face staring at me. Akka was there for support and comfort and didn't leave Anya's side.

I was surprised to be slapped in the face by a death icon (that's what it felt like at least) and quickly clicked to transport over to the poor norn. I found Adalhard on the ground in a peaceful death pose, gone after a long and full life, and began the solemn routine of taking notes about his death - when suddenly I noticed the elevator began going up... and taking Adalhard with it! By his nose!!! I could not decide whether to suddenly burst out in laughter or feel horrified for his poor body! Disturbing the dead is wrong. After a couple up's and down's I couldn't figure out why the elevator was doing that, but then realized it was because a poor ignorant norn was riding it and had no idea Adalhard's nose was caught in the door. I can't help but facepalm still... at the memory and at the image in my head of (what if this were real life?) A poor little creature dead with his nose stuck in the door, flopping up and down as the elevator moved, it's just game physics don't allow realistic physics. XD

At the volcano Aldobrando was still just as I remember him, keeping the deathcap seeds under study and trying to figure out a way to eat them, as he has been doing his whole life. Aldobrando stood over them with a worried expression and both paws on his cheeks as he thought to himself how daunting a challenge it was to figure out how to make these things edible! Oh how the norn tribe would benifit if he could! Quirin had just about given up on them long ago, and on Aldobrando, and thought he is a bit crazy for still trying. He decided to look for greener pastures and actual food, while Aldobrando hardly noticed his leaving.

I had just left Aldobrando standing over the seeds when I was surprised by his death. I was dearly sad to see him go, he was one of my favorite norns. He has lived a very long life for a norn however and was very old when he passed. I spent a few moments staring at his lifeless body, still looking cute among the seeds he spent his life around. It's such a shame that he couldn't pass on his genetics to a son or daughter. Hopefully now he will be able to meet his son though.

I decided to end my romp down memory lane with goofy little Arvyn here. I just got angry. I have been waiting for C4 to come out when it was promised and when the time neared I became super excited and stopped playing Creatures in anticipation! I never intended to stop playing Creatures forever. Then it never came.

One of my pet peeves about game releases is when they're put off. I understand that things go wrong, things take longer than intended, but when a promise of a game release is made and not kept it Pizzes(Not a real curse word) me off. I believe promises should be kept.

Do I want a buggy game released? I can put up with that! I am willing to help the developers work through their bugs and in fact love to play tester. Updates can be made, the game can be improved while it's played. I've close beta tested many games in the past and enjoyed the poop out of it. (Maybe i'm one of the minority?) My belief is that people should keep their promises. Skyrim pushed back release for a long time and I was so angry about that when it happened that I nearly didn't buy the game when it finally was released.

Anyways i'm so very annoyed at that (I've finally just today calmed down enough about it to post a "what's going on?" post in my blog) that I may not be playing Creatures 3 for a VERY long time, though i've not given up on it entirely. Sorry folks. :TKittie885http://www.blogger.com/profile/09882789640560680722noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-621182310791072932.post-44310880535117539672012-05-25T20:15:00.002-04:002012-05-25T20:15:32.309-04:00Orika Accross The Ocean

Orika and I were just chillin' beneath her tree house when she suddenly showed an interest in using the little boat off the deck! She has shown interest in these water fairing vessels once or twice before in her lifetime but no more then that so this was a super rare occurrence and one I never expected to see again! All previous attempts norns have showed at crossing the oceans revealed that the boats don't quite work the way they're supposed to and they always end up in the ocean... so I was very apprehensive about her interest in using it. However, I was curious to see if.. just this one time.. she could manage to figure out how to use the boat correctly. I was disappointed as I watched in her attempt to get into the boat that she quickly fell to the deep depths of the ocean bottom below. I quickly pulled her out, only to have her repeat this process making me cringe as she landed.
About the third time she attempted to use the boat I went to try and save her again only to find she successfully and immediately used the little spring at the bottom before I could lay a finger on her and rescued herself! I was very impressed! A few norns have visited the bottom of the ocean by mistake and not one could ever find a way out without my help, yet Orika seemed to know exactly what to do! She may have rescued herself the first few times as well had I not gotten in her way!
I felt really bad for her and helped her across the ocean with a lift of my hand. Back with the rest of the norn tribe I spent some time with each norn individually, giving them a routine checkup. I was sad to see that Arvs seems to be making a slow decline in health, which is not unusual at an old age. I saw that for some reason, Arvs had very little to no energy, not even enough to grab a bite to eat from the honey pots right next to him. He slept for a long time, woke up to smile at me, grew sleepy again and then fell back asleep. The idea that he was getting nothing to eat worried me all to heck and I immediately shoved a honey pot into his tiny hands and convinced him to drink it up! Of course I also checked for sleeping sicknesses or bacterias, or toxins in his system that could be causing this but came up short. While he did get that honey pot in him it won't keep him drinking more but there's not much I can do. It's just a matter of time before it's his time to go. I just hope he's having a good time while he's here.
I was very pleased to see them get along so readily upon meeing, and it wasn't long before Orika decided to grace the world with another pregnancy. Aldobrando was only too happy to oblige!
Orika spent all of her pregnancy by Aldobrando and made sure to lay the egg right where it was conceived. Aldobrando and Orika walked off into the heat of the volcano together after convincing me to open the door. Normally I would not let norns in there, but they seemed to stick by each other and take care of each other so well I thought it might be alright to let them explore where no norn has ever been before. Behind them, the egg eventually hatched out one of the cutest little boy norn's i've ever seen! Sadly... he only had a few seconds to live before passing away with the same happy smile he hatched with. I was unable to determine the cause of his passing and was so sad to see such a cute little thing go.
Orika and Aldobrando soon joined me in gazing at the lifeless little body of their newest son, may he rest in peace. Though Orika and Aldobrando sported smiles, there was a solemness to them. They stayed around Ashibaal looking at their new son for some time and wouldn't leave his side. Perhaps they knew about a norn afterlife they were wishing him well in.
Life goes on.. and after Ashibaal disappeared in a puff of sparkly smoke Orika and Aldobrando decided to explore the volcano independently. Meanwhile, Orika took delight in finding the metal lift in the volcano and pushing the button to see where it went! I followed Orika accross the inside of the volcano and helped her over the sand dunes to the right side of the island. I watched her joyfully pick coconuts from the tree and helped knock down ones she couldn't quite reach. She didn't even seem concerned when a few storm clouds passed overhead. Tropical weather can be so unpredictable! But still, the cool tropical breezes, soft, warm sands and all the coconuts she could eat gave her the brightest smile yet! The disaster of earlier seemed ages away now.Kittie885http://www.blogger.com/profile/09882789640560680722noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-621182310791072932.post-1913565432040435482012-04-13T12:06:00.002-04:002012-04-13T12:06:44.835-04:00Expanding Nyrn

We left Orika pregnant last time and I was really eager to see if she carried the same messed up gene as her sister or if she would be able to lay the egg. Orika pleasantly surprised me with a bright, mustard colored egg soon after I started up my game! Orika then fell asleep immediately afterwords with a proud smile on her face. I knew that Orika would make a good mother.
The idea of the tribe expanding so soon and so quickly worried me. I didn't want a huge tribe like I usually have, but I just can't help myself! I love norns! From the egg hatched a little boy I named Asha-Ammu and he fit in right away! Asha-Ammu showed that he was a curious little norn and while he didn't yet know what all of the things around here were, or were for, he expressed an eagerness to find out the good old fashioned way! Asha-Ammu sampled, pushed and pulled everything! I made sure to give him rewarding tickles for all of the good actions he discovered as well as teach him some words for things in his immediate vicinity. When I was content that he was on the right track I left him to go see what visitor was knocking at my warp chamber door.
A pretty little male norn arrived in my chamber and was showing his over-eagerness to become a member of my world by walking repeatedly into the door. I hurried to let him out before he hurt himself too much! In spite of how much he had already hurt himself, he had a bright smile on his face. I just love his pastel colors, so the idea of adding him to my world is a pleasant one! I just hope his high generation doesn't carry any hidden con's.
Most norns go about doing their general things, eating and sleeping as well as playing with toys. Arvyn isn't an exception. He remains by the volcano door happily living off of mushrooms and playing with the toy doggie. I check on him every now and then to make sure he's not hurting himself by walking into the door repeatedly, but he has fun surprising me with staying fairly focused on the toys and not the door. Arvyn seemed to show a lot of pride in how he could successfully push the toy unlike some of his other norn friends! I had hopes that he would become adventurous enough to join the main group so that I could perhaps have some little norny babies with floating eyeballs, but Arvyn seems to like solitude and doesn't show an interest in girls.
In spite of his high generation Quirin showed great intelligence when it came to the little IQ test. He passed quicker than I had expected and I found him enjoying the fruits and foods of the lower meso. I hope he has a chance to pass his beautiful pastel colors on. Welcome Quirin.
Meet Orika. Orika is the sister to the previous queens Machiki, Fiken, Wanic, Xenia and as we know Xenia2. Orika is one of 7 daughters to Chiyoe. Orika was also born in the world that was the C1toDS metaroom and previously knew a land of sunshine and honey. She's about to be plopped into a little bit more of a harsher world of bees and dangerous oceans, weather and poisonous plants! I hope she can survive! Yet she has a destiny to rule a whole tribe of norns and create more of royal blood for the future!
The moment I plopped Orika down into the very place her sister had previously layed to rest (Before I placed her in the warp chamber) she fit right in with everybody as if she had known them her whole life. In fact Orika set to work right away showing me how well she got along with other norns so fast that she and Aldobrando immediately hit it off and decided to create the first egg together! I was still getting stuff ready for Orika's stay in Nyrn when it happened much to my surprise!

Let's take a little look shall we, at what Orika's genetics holds for the future generations. (Nothing too drastic I hope, after Xenia2's ordeal!)

First I took a look at the general overview of the organs in the norn. Usually I get to skip over this area because nothing is usually of any significant change.. but this time I saw a few things that caught my interest. Orika only has 15 lobes, 199 receptors, is missing a neuroemitter (a normal norn has 2, she only has half that), only has 101 reactions, only 58 stimuli, only 33 instincts and has only 21 organs of the normal 24. There are no more details then that, but it's pretty interesting to me. I wonder what affect any of these changes might have on her.

Things Orika finds more intense when felt are pain, sleepiness, lonliness, crowded, fear and anger. Things she finds significantly less intense are boredim and comfort, just like Xenia2.

Another thing I thought was interesting that I saw was when Orika's body senses EDTA she gains 141 repair rate. My attention stopped on EDTA because it sounds like a significant thing, but I don't know what it is. Any ideas?

Orika also has less initial concentration of muscle tissue and antibodies than the average norn. I don't think this will visibly affect her though.

Like her sister, when Orika lays eggs she will gain far less sleepiness and pain than the average norn.. also she gains less fear and pain from falling, while gaining a decrease in boredom.

Orika has a couple new entries in her genetics file that interested me.
840 New in file 1 214 0 Emb B MutDupCut 128 0 Organ# = 23, Creature, Drives, Fear, chem=ATP, thresh=26, nom=255, gain=255, features=Inverted Digital (0)

841 New in file 1 215 0 Emb B MutDupCut 128 0 Organ# = 23, Creature, Drives, Fear, chem=Energy, thresh=45, nom=255, gain=255, features=Inverted Digital (0)
I'm not certain about what this means, but my simple guess would be that when her body senses ATP or energy (energy?) she will gain a lot of fear. Does this mean she'll be in a state of fear all the time? It doesn't seem likely to me.

Here is another thing that caught my eye but yet I have trouble translating it's meaning.
***** NEURO EMITTERS ****
880 New in file 1 2 0 You F MutDupCut 128 0 [02: noun] [Cell 29 (Creature egg)] + [07: detl] [Cell 1] + [Brain Lobe 255] [Cell 0] => 255*Anger + 0*<NONE> + 0*<NONE> + 0*<NONE>; Rate = 1

And here is something that is interesting. Apparently Orika produces far more antibodies when sensing an antigen.
345 Different in file 1 85 0 Emb B MutDupCut 128 0 Organ# = 18, 2*Antigen 0 + 1*<NONE> => 2*Antibody 0 + 1*Histamine B; half-life = 40

The first line is of a normal chichi norn, the second Orika.

347 Different in file 1 86 0 Emb B MutDupCut 128 0 Organ# = 18, 2*Antigen 1 + 1*<NONE> => 2*Antibody 1 + 1*Histamine A; half-life = 41
Hopefully this means she'll have a huge advantage when kicking illnesses.

Last but not least here are a few new files in her genetics.
842 New in file 1 105 0 Sen B MutDupCut 128 0 Organ# = 23, 1*<NONE> + 1*<NONE> => 1*Pain + 1*<NONE>; half-life = 79
It looks like she produces pain, crowdedness and tiredness from nothing.. does this mean all the time? Again i'm not completely clear, but it is suspicious. I certaintly hope not.

Well that's your introduction to Orika. Well I was very happy when Arvs expressed how friendly he was feeling. I had the opportunity to hook him up with Xenia2 and see how her first pregnancy went! Yay, more offspring! However, little did I know it wouldn't be that easy. I suggested "push norn" and right over to Xenia2 he went. Xenia2 was very happy to oblige and right away there was an instant pregnancy! My celebration was halted soon though.
As you can see, she seems to produce no oestrogen what so ever. I thought things were going normally until xenia2 produced more kisspops with Adalhard. Norns aren't supposed to be able to do that when already pregnant! A check of her reproductive chemicals showed she was still producing everything except for oestrogen, which is what is needed to actually lay the egg. I waited for quite a while and still nothing. Unfortunately I think this means she won't be able to play out her role as queen and will need to be replaced.

Is there anyone interested in receiving Xenia2? I haven't warped her out yet but that's what I intend to do before importing the next queen but I can also put her up for adoption somewhere if anyone is interested in taking a more detailed look at her. I have no idea what it is that messed up her oestrogen so badly. As you can remember there was some confusion over it. She seems to be constantly fertile, even when pregnant, and unable to lay her eggs.Kittie885http://www.blogger.com/profile/09882789640560680722noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-621182310791072932.post-76294436634407553332012-04-06T16:06:00.001-04:002012-04-06T16:06:02.093-04:00Inside Xenia2Alright are you ready for some statistics and informative... er.. information? Well get ready to do a lot of reading! I found that Xenia2 has quite a few differences in her than the average chichi genome! Most of the differences are very minor, only off a number or two, but there were a few that I thought were rather interesting and these I will share with you now.

I was a little surprised to find that in Xenia2 some things she feels will be felt stronger than your average norn. The things that will be stronger for her are pain, lonliness, crowded, fear and anger. These things when felt will be significantly stronger. There are a couple that will be less strong than your average norn. These things are Boredom and Comfort. When she feels these last two things they will have less of an impact on her. I guess that's good for the boredom thing!

I was interested to find out that the amount of progesterone she needs to actually lay an egg is higher than the average norn. This means she will be pregnant longer. Here is how it looked in the gene compare: The top example is your average norn, the bottom is Xenia2.
202 Different in file 1 68 0 You F MutDupCut 128 0 Organ# = 11, Creature, Sensorimotor, Involuntary action 1, chem=Progesterone, thresh=223, nom=0, gain=255, features=Digital (0)

202 Different in file 2 68 0 You F MutDupCut 128 0 Organ# = 11, Creature, Sensorimotor, Involuntary action 1, chem=Progesterone, thresh=245, nom=0, gain=255, features=Digital (0)

As always, if I misinterpret anything please correct me!

The next thing I found in the gene compare was a little less clear to me. I'm basically guessing at what it means
210 Different in file 1 69 0 You M MutDupCut 128 0 Organ# = 12, Creature, Circulatory, Floating receptor/emitter 5, chem=Testosterone, thresh=128, nom=0, gain=255, features=Digital (0)

210 Different in file 2 69 0 You M MutDupCut 128 0 Organ# = 12, Creature, Somatic, Become senile, chem=Testosterone, thresh=128, nom=0, gain=255, features=Digital (0)
As far as I can tell this means when she has 128 or more testosterone she will become senile. She is a female norn, so I'm not sure how it would affect her. I don't know what levels or lack there of female norns carry normally.

Next, Xenia2 has 174 Oestrogen in her all the time, normally. This is unlike a normal norn who apparently is supposed to have 0. she needs 186 Oestrogen to become firtile which is far greater than your average norn.
211 Different in file 1 71 0 You F MutDupCut 128 0 Organ# = 12, Creature, Reproductive, Become fertile if high, chem=Oestrogen, thresh=50, nom=0, gain=255, features=Analogue (0)

211 Different in file 2 71 0 Ado F MutDupCut 0 0 Organ# = 12, Creature, Reproductive, Become fertile if high, chem=Oestrogen, thresh=186, nom=174, gain=255, features=Analogue (0)
Again i'm not sure how this affects her but the difference seems pretty significant.

Next item:
307 Different in file 1 58 0 You B MutDupCut 128 0 Organ# = 17, Creature, Circulatory, Floating receptor/emitter 14, chem=Stress (H4C),thresh=128, nom=0, gain=254, features=Digital (0)

308 Different in file 2 58 0 You B MutDupCut 128 0 Organ# = 17, Creature, Somatic,Unknown Locus: 14, chem=Stress (H4C), thresh=128, nom=0, gain=254, features=Digital (0)
I have absolutely no idea what this means. It looked pretty significant though. I don't know what "floating receptors" or "emitters" are so I can't really understand it. Instead of the normal floating receptor Xenia2 gains unknown locus from stress, which I also don't know what it is.

In Xenia2 when she gains 48 fear toxin it makes her angry by creating 1 anger.
332 Different in file 1 93 0 Emb B MutDupCut 128 0 Organ# = 18, 14*Fear toxin + 1*<NONE> => 1*Fear + 1*<NONE>; half-life = 32

334 Different in file 2 93 0 Emb B MutDupCut 128 0 Organ# = 18, 48*Fear toxin + 1*<NONE> => 1*Anger + 1*<NONE>; half-life = 32
It's pretty straight forward. An illness that is fear toxin creates anger instead of fear, this will become handy if being fearful is more harmful to her than anger. (Is there such a situation? :o )

Xenia2 needs 10 muscle toxin to create 1 lactate while your average norn only needs 1 muscle toxin to create 1 lactate. As you may remember lactate is a chemical that creates a suffocation or choking affect.

Xenia2 also experiences less pain and sleepiness when laying eggs.
409 Different in file 1 23 0 You F MutDupCut 128 0 Involuntary 1 (29) causes sig=0 GS neu=9 int=34, ,,,240 => 9*Pain + 23*Sleepiness + -13*Progesterone + -124*Comfort

411 Different in file 2 23 0 You F MutDupCut 128 0 Involuntary 1 (29) causes sig=0 GS neu=9 int=34, ,,,240 => 1*Pain + 9*Sleepiness + -24*Progesterone + -124*Comfort
This will be helpful to her and allow her to bounce back quickly after laying. Some norns just seem so miserable afterwords!

Something else that may be helpful to her is that she seems to experience less pain and fear when hitting the ground from a fall, and it also reduces boredom!
414 Different in file 1 29 0 Emb B MutDupCut 128 0 Hitting the ground post fall (deprecated) (39) causes sig=0 GS neu=0 int=0, ,,,112 => 17*Pain + 10*Fear + 5*90 + 0*<NONE>

416 Different in file 2 29 0 Emb B MutDupCut 128 0 Hitting the ground post fall (deprecated) (39) causes sig=0 GS neu=0 int=0, ,,,112 => 1*Pain + 1*Fear + -6*Boredom + 0*<NONE>
If this is true, jumping off of high places may be a good way for her to reduce boredom.. playing. Seems kind of weird though..

The last thing that I found to be significant enough to mention was something that I found to be somewhat worrisome. When your average norn is in the presence of food and feels hunger for fat, their instinct is to eat. Well Xenia2 is a little different.
455 Different in file 1 4 0 Emb B MutDupCut 128 0 [03: stim] [Cell 11 (Food)] + [Brain Lobe 255] [Cell 0] + [Brain Lobe 255] [Cell 0] and [Hunger for fat] => Cell 12 (Eat); unknown = 31.

457 Different in file 2 4 0 Emb B MutDupCut 128 0 [03: stim] [Cell 10 (Detritus)] + [Brain Lobe 255] [Cell 0] + [Brain Lobe 255] [Cell 0] and [Hunger for fat] => Cell 12 (Eat); unknown = 62.
According to this when Xenia2 feels a hunger for fat she doesn't get the instinct to eat when in the presence of food... rather it is only when she is in the presence of detritus.. which is waste. Detritus can be harmful when eaten by your average norn (that isn't a toxic norn). If Xenia2 is unable to digest detritus (which i've not seen in her genetic anywhere anything like that digestive system of a toxic norn) then she will become sick if she follows her instinct.

These are all of the genetic differences you can expect from Xenia2. It doesn't look like anything particularly shocking but there are some minor interests in here. If you see anything i've interpreted wrong or figured something out that I haven't please let me know. :D And as always, thank you for reading!Kittie885http://www.blogger.com/profile/09882789640560680722noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-621182310791072932.post-18407132179025515802012-04-06T15:12:00.000-04:002012-04-06T15:12:05.434-04:00Spring Cleaning

The first two bits of information I have for you today are the deaths of a couple of norns. Arethan was the first to die at a very old age of 5 hours and 39 minutes. He lived a full life and was very happy living as a gardener. I made sure to keep him supplied with all of the things he would need to stay happy including toys and other forms of food, so when he died with a smile on his face to last him into the afterlife I felt a sense of happiness too.
Aryon never alerted my attention because he always seemed to be happy hanging out with his brother santa-norns. Rest in peace dude.
Xenia was very happy by herself by the drums but soon felt the need to inform me that she was hungry for fruit again, so as usual I suggested to her to go eat some fruit. Also as usual, she then immediately halted her drumming to do just that like a good little norn. The only problem was, she began walking right instead of left. This was unheard of! I've never seen her do such a thing! Wondering what her attention could be set on that caused her to begin walking dangerously close to the edge of the bridge I panned my camera far right. There, lo and behold across the ocean was some broken coconuts labeled as fruit! Geeze Xenia, I had no idea your eyesight was that good! Xenia and I had some trouble using the boat to get across but eventually we made it together.
I have been talking for some time now about widdling down the tribe to just a few norns for easier tracking. My expectation was that most of the elder males were die before Xenia, and by the time Xenia died I could introduce the new queen with no problem to only a few males. Now that my plans have been foiled by fate I was left with no queen and many males. In this event I chose to warp out some of the old males that had nothing to do but die eventually anyway (as cruel as that may sound). I sent them through the warp rather than kill them with the hopes they would find a place to live out their final days. They all ended up going to LNA when I sent them to "anyone online" (I'm sorry LNA!).
Meet Nyrn's next queen, Xenia2. I know, the name isn't very original. The reason she has the same name was because when she was born I mistakenly named her Xenia because I forgot I already had one! When I finally found out the mistake I made she was already named so I just added 2 at the end. Xenia2 is Xenia's sister but they do not look exactly the same. While they share the same apple norn head, Xenia2 has a santa norn body and chichi norn legs and arms. Xenia2 arrived very eager to continue her life!
As you can see Xenia2 started out her early years in a completely different world, a very old previous one. Being warped suddenly into such a different world must be strange to her. All the norns she once knew are gone and it's time to rule over some new ones!
Welcome back to another day in Nyrn. Rather than focusing on one norn most of the time today I decided to do my best to split my attention between all of them. The first norn to catch my eye was the one that was all eyes! I noticed Arvyn "retreating norn" quite often and soon came to realize he seems to have a fear of other norns. Who knows what taught him that other norns are dangerous, perhaps he was slapped a lot as a kid when I wasn't watching. If this is the case, my slapping him whenever he repeated this undesirable "retreat norn" behavior seemed only like torture so I let him be, but I do feel sorry for him. I tried my best, rather, to distract him from his "fear" by teaching him once again how much fun toys can be! I must admit I found it surprisingly difficult to convince him pushing toys would be fun. Eventually he took my lessons to heart and when I left him he was happily pushing the didgeridoo all over the place.
Adalhard didn't catch my attention per-say.. I was happily and casually just watching him go about his norny business, picking fruits and such. He complained a little bit about being hungry for seeds and when I showed him the seeds on the ground to eat he decided to play dumb and try to eat everything BUT the seeds. I nearly panicked when he shifted from eating "plants, fruits, flowers and toys" to eating weed! (The poisonous mushrooms surrounding him) Luckily his failure in eating anything carried over to the weed too and he never did!(Well if you're gonna do that..) I figured fighting to get him to eat a nut was not worth a mishap with a deathcap mushroom, so I left him alone! He was happily munching on some near by tomatoes when his time to age up hit him and he grew silver linings to his features. C1 norns always look so much more handsome in elder and ancient stages than C3 norns do.
Don't let this picture fool you! Xenia is perfectly happy at the moment and taking care of herself, she's just really tired in this snapshot. She fell asleep soon after. Xenia complained to me when she awoke about hunger for protine and I simply told her to go eat a fruit, and she set off on her trek to the middle of the desert to do just that, just by my suggestion! My previous teachings have done her well! With her drum set out of sight, though, she soon complained about being bored also and began playing with her fruits. I only needed to tell her to push toy and she began walking back to her treehouse home. Xenia has become a hermit living up here all by herself in the dead stump of a tree house. Still, it provides her excelent shelter and with all of her needs, even if she does have to make a small journey every once in a while to gather mushrooms.
Aku and Akka have spent most of their lives in the swamp and by the volcano door, living off of mushrooms only and playing with the deathcap seeds. In spite of the occasional complaint of hunger for fat or starch they all seem to be happy.
Yay! It's another Creatures post! I started off the day panning through the world to see how everybody was doing and where I left them off. I found most everybody was doing quite average and enjoying their life! By now most of the norns have grown to elder stage and it's not long until they begin passing into the great beyond to meet their relatives. I found down at home below the treehouse many of the elders have formed a little club. Aronil, Areas, Anruin and Arlowe enjoy approaching eachother while they feast on the plentiful fruits and seeds around them. It's uncanny how similar they all look to each other.

Of course the star of the show is always Xenia. I found her where I left her last by the dock and very hungry for protine! Xenia loves to "bang on the drums all day" so much that she just can't tear herself away to eat a bite! A couple of slaps from me pause her for just a second before she goes back to playing the drums so I have to drag her away from them far enough so that she can no longer see them before she was convinced the best thing to do would be to eat something! It reminds me a lot of myself as a gamer I spend so much time at the computer I sometimes neglect my own hunger!
After her dinner she returned home to the warm treehouse and asked for some fat. I realized then, there wasn't really anything around that would provide a good source of fat, but saw the honey pot up above on the planks. I dropped it in front of her and convinced her to try some of that. She enjoyed it so much that, with a belly full of honey, she felt so warm and cozy that she just layed down and took a restful sleep. I'm still so proud of myself for having such a happy norn! I really love her adventurous attitude but wish some of the other norns were too, so I could have some more babies.
There was an intense storm passing by over head spitting out bolts of lightening all around her! I have never seen such an intense storm in Nyrn before! Sure there are your average thunder producing clouds, however there were at least three very large ones here right now! I did all I could to help calm Xenia down and keep her from panickedly straying into the ocean!
Xenia made sure to tell me just how scared she was feeling. I didn't snap the photo just at the right time here, as I was trying to catch a lightening bolt that was landing right near Xenia... just to show how intense things were. With more than two giant thunder clouds over head at any one time there were constantly bolts landing all around her.
To make matters worse there were two dust devils (Yes, two! The game was really going crazy!) on either side, granted one was a little further away from Xenia at the time. The second one disappeared but the first one approached xenia..then swept her and all of her seeds, toys and things and carried them out into the ocean. You can't see them in the dust devil very well but her honey pot and other things are in there. I had been busily pulling Xenia away from the edge of the dock every two seconds while trying to calm her with tickles and distract her with the drums, now I had to rescue the honey pot from the ocean floor! And there were still thunder clouds spitting lightening all over!
Eventually the thunder clouds passed (Whiew! I thought they'd never go away.. I swear that was the longest storm I've ever expeirenced in all my creatures playing days.) and Xenia changed from "quite" scared to "kinda" scared.. and eventually not scared. I still watched the dust devil for some time as it stuck around, just to make sure it didn't sweep all of Xenia's things away again.. but generally all went back to normal and Xenia celebrated the clear sky with another drum solo.Kittie885http://www.blogger.com/profile/09882789640560680722noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-621182310791072932.post-64575095615907945702012-02-26T11:50:00.004-05:002012-02-26T11:50:40.912-05:00Mini Update 2I got online just long enough to have a quick, short visit with my norns whom i'm beginning to miss a little bit.
Most all of my norns were doing their usual boring thing foraging down by the big tree house and just generally being overpopulated. Xenia is the only one who actually sticks out and shows some intelligence. I found her as I left her long ago, exploring the furthest reaches of Nyrn and playing with the little robot toy. When I came near she seemed to acknowledge my presence with an overall sense of happiness but didn't stop her explorations to say hi or anything. I can't help but admit I love that she is so adventurous even if she isn't creating more offspring!
I made my rounds visiting every single norn, a couple times at least, before returning back to my favorite Xenia and found that she had made her way across to the bridge. She had a stern focus on something and I didn't know what until I saw the little green arrow above the ball. She looked so cute an adorable as she chased the ball across the bridge, having found her inner child again! I broke one of my non-interference rules and dropped her a little present onto the bridge for her of food just in case she was hungry, but she wasn't interested in any!
My plans for my norn tribe have changed somewhat, not drastically, and in order to fit these plans my herd is a little bit overpopulated. Still, I can't bring myself to thin them out or kill anybody, for they are all dear to me right now. LNA was up and running and it suddenly occurred to me that I could thin the tribe just a little bit by sending a norn over there. So I chose a norn at random from below the tree house where the main population is and dropped Arsyn into the warp. I said my goodbyes and well wishes then sent him off to live in a new, unpredictable world! That was a few days ago, he's probably long passed by now. I didn't watch long enough to see if he had any offspring.

I am feeling the urges to play creatures returning slowly but surely. It may not be long now, and it may come gradually. Like I mentioned before these things come in cycles for me with long periods of play followed by long periods of not playing. Still, coming back to my tribe I felt a little overwhelmed with the number of norns populating it, and so I hope to quell this population down a little bit so that I may spend a little more personal time with each norn. I can't promise that i'll be successful. I have a weakness for new arrivals whether it be through the warp or another egg. :PKittie885http://www.blogger.com/profile/09882789640560680722noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-621182310791072932.post-18401229858922973772012-02-10T12:43:00.000-05:002012-02-10T12:43:08.812-05:00Mini UpdateI haven't gotten back into playing just yet but I have some screen shots from my last play months ago. I decided to post them since I left some questions hanging, such as did "so and so" complete the IQ test and stuff.. so here are the screen shots. I'm just going to post them without any processing or anything fancy because I have mostly forgotten what they were all about. Click on them to enlarge them.

I anticipate another move in the future once the garden box is released and the continuation of creatures then.
I guess the deck of the treehouse is dusty enough to create dust devils.Kittie885http://www.blogger.com/profile/09882789640560680722noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-621182310791072932.post-38823731695451594952012-01-19T17:11:00.000-05:002012-01-19T17:11:54.015-05:00What Happened?Creatures is on hold for me. You might have noticed it's been months since the last update. Since then the new year has happened, new games are being released (C4) and I got Skyrim. Skyrim takes most of the blame for the lack of updates.

I'm sorry to say you won't be seeing any more updates to this blog for quite a while. That doesn't mean i've abandoned it all-together though! It will remain installed on my computer (as if in stasis), possibly forever, until I decide to play it again. As it goes I generally go through long periods of playing it followed by long periods of not playing it, and it cycles like that. So just because i'm not playing it now doesn't mean i'm done forever. Don't give up hope.

However, if Creatures 4 is released before I get the urge to play it again and I end up loving it more than I do C3, 2 or DS (which is not Likely but I would enjoy being proven wrong with this one) I may never go back to the other games and will just continue playing C4. Like I said, I stress I don't think that is likely.

Until then enjoy all of your games everyone!Kittie885http://www.blogger.com/profile/09882789640560680722noreply@blogger.com4
