Sad For Ise

The day started out pretty good. The first thing Ise began to do once I started up my game was to heartily kisspop my Aruvuin. The idea of having more santa norns running around during christmas time is divine! Aruvuin and Ise kisspopped for quite a while in the comfort of the norn home with enthusiasm and it was only a matter of time before an egg icon popped up on my screen!

Ise became pregnant and I watched eagerly as her belly grew and grew as the time passed. She kisspopped with a few more norns in the mean time, which surprised me because most pregnant norns don't have interest in such things. She seemed happy, though a little tired, one could only imagine how heavy that big belly would be when you have to carry it around with you everywhere you go. But after several minutes I became worried. The time to lay the egg had passed and she still hadn't. I checked her out with the hoverdoc and to my sadness saw she had no Oestrogen or Progesterone. Ise is forever pregnant.
Due to her not being able to lay that egg, she would be unable to have babies and populate the norn world. Because of this, I had to get rid of her. I didn't want faulty genetics in my world even if I did surgically remove the egg. I placed her in the warp and sent her on her way. She didn't look very happy to go and I wasn't happy to see her go either. Hopefully her next home will welcome her with open arms and love. Goodbye Ise.

Kono Sekai Ni Wa was now left without a queen, so I had to import another. Ise's sister Imiyo is next in line, and arrived with a grin just as bright as her sister had when Ise had arrived! Imiyo looks just like her and they may very have well been twins.

Imiyo spent some time joyfully playing with the bright colored and flashing christmas decorations around her! Imiyo picked up a pretty looking candycane and was playing with it happily, when over walked another norn. Reginald decided to come over and meet Imiyo. Imiyo quickly dropped the candycane when he walked over, and they got along quite well! In fact a series of kisspops ensued soon after.

Knowing that the "forever pregnant" problem can be very genetic I waited and watched the growing Imiyo with baited breath. She grew bigger and bigger, and to my relief eventually layed her very first egg. Imiyo closed her eyes and rested beside the egg after it was layed, for she was very tired after having had to do that, but she didn't fall asleep and she was very happy.
A little while later out from the egg hatches Almond right next to the ginger bread house, which provided him with a lovely first breakfast. I imediately fell in love with the adorable-ness of this little norn! He has his mothers butterfly norn body, wings and arms and his fathers head and legs. He hatched to be quite a very quaint and content norn.

Imiyo imediately took a liking to her son and he she. After a few minutes friendly greeting, Imiyo walked over to the sludge gun and began pushing it. I watched as Almond followed bright eyed and with a big grin as if he were staring at the gun in awe. He watched his mother push the sludge gun a couple of times, then joined in hesitantly. Imiyo repeated and repeated, teaching Almond how to use the sludge gun, perhaps in case any grendels dared to come around. I guess Imiyo thought it very important that he know how to use it.
A couple of the norns in my world are pretty ripe with age and so when I saw a death icon atop my screen I didn't think anything of it, and clicked it. It took me to Yoshinari who had drownd in the pond. Apparently Yoshinari was not responsible enough to be around the pond by himself. I was very sad and somewhat disappointed in myself for not looking after him more. RIP Yoshinari.
Scrolling away from the passing of Yoshinari I found Adalmund on the log. He was having a great time playing with the snow that fell, I even managed to catch one in the snapshot! Adalmund expressed "get weather" "eat weather" "push weather" and "approach weather" several times while he was there. It was adorable and warmed my heart to see such an elder norn playing like a child. you're still young at heart Adalmund.
Back in the treehouse I found that the three norns Imiyo, Almond and his father Reginald had for some reason carried all of the toys into one spot, and the gingerbread house too... I could not fathom what reason they would have to do that. Ohwell, who knows what goes on in a norns mind. Whatever reason it was, they were having a grand old time with the toys. o.O

Much time passed with me watching the adorable family of Imiyo, Almond and Reginald sticking together and doing regular family things. They played with toys together, ate together and tickled eachother. Eventually Imiyo decided it best to split up though, and made her way with her son in the lift to the very top floor of the treehouse. There they did mother daughter things like eating apples and chasing nuts in the snowy environment, and met a third apple norn. I watched him for a little while but was alerted to the sound of an ample amount of slapping comming from Imiyo! I scrolled over to find her slapping her son quite vigorously for some reason. Almond must have been a bad boy and was getting spankings! I became a little worried when Imiyo didn't seem to want to stop, but when Tatsushirou, the apple norn up there with them, walked over, he persuaded her to stop and Imiyo stopped. Thank goodness.
Tatsushirou, Almond and Imiyo hung out for a while. Tatsushirou was acting like a good father even though he wasn't Almonds father, but will make a good one when he kisspops with Imiyo in the future (i'm hoping). More little butterfly norns running around would be a great way to ring in the new year!

During the time I was playing many visitors graced my warp in the warp room, but I turned them all way because they were female. Due to my high number of "female norns in waiting" on my hard drive to enter my world I don't have room for any more. However, a male entered my world and he happened to be a pure bred siamese norn. Cats are close to my heart and so I could not pass this little guy up. He arrived and was pulled out of the warp to the bottom floor of the warp room looking disoriented and frightened. I watched him look around, work the elevator and smartly make his way to the top floor. He isn't making it out very quickly though. He doesn't seem obsessed with buttons or anything, just a little confused. Good luck making it out little Aitarou.

One last death appeared on my screen before I logged out for the day. Adalmund had finally met his age limit at well over five hours. The average lifespan of a norn is 5H and 39Min. Well Adalmund lived to be 5 and 46, so he had a long, full life. Congradulations and rest in peace!

Kunies Last Day

Since Ghulam is my current favorite norn I have been enjoying watching him. He is always around the gadgets, mostly the snow maker here. He likes to pick it up and hold it, but usually drops it soon after. Curiously, Ghulam picked up the gadget but did not drop it this time. Instead, he held it for a while, and even rested with it as if it were a stuffed animal. He then began to walk off with it and I became curious as to where he was taking it. Where in the world would he be taking it?

Apparently he thought the elevator needed more snow because that is just where he took it. I wondered where on the ground he would be taking it to, but when he stepped off he had left the snow maker inside. The other norns that use the elvator don't seem to mind or notice its presence. Occasionally the harlequin will push it a couple of times, but then leave it alone and continue his ride in the elevator.

I have been watching Kunie closely, knowing these were her last days. Her stats have been dropping like crazy, and all of her internal organs are nearly completely shut down. Her muscle organ is completely shut down leaving her with a very promonent limp. She can barely walk around, but still tries to, with a big smile on her face, so I can only assume she's happy. I have been catching her sleeping most of the time and rarely eating. I gave her some honey and coffee which seemed to perk her up a bit. Aruvuin also seems to have taken an increased interest in sweet Kunie, and helps her stay awake with kisspopping. Kunie enjoys his company.

Their kisspopping romance produced a little boy that I named Chestnut, for the holiday season. Chestnut hatched a very energetic and playful baby norn. He imediately went for the little squeaky toy there and played with it for a while before moving on. He likes to push everything, from toys, to food, to even following his mother and father around!

Soon after his play with the toys he followed his parents and likes to disappear among them. He likes to stay close to his parents and seems to be happiest when he's around them. Once in a while Kunie would even approach Chestnut and watch him for a little while, as she too takes interest in her newest son. You can't see him in this picture but he's there, behind his parents somewhere!

Chestnut left his parents only for a little while to explore not far away. He picked up the biiig gingerbread house, bigger than he is! And carried it around a little bit, eventually depositing it beside the elevator. Along the way he picked up some of the candies that fell out and ate them.

I watched Chestnut for quite some time, and he didn't ever stray far from his parents. Aruvuin, his father, went off on his own for a while though, leaving Kunie and Chestnut alone. Kunie seemed at peace among the pile of candies that Chestnut had pushed from the gingerbread house, and that is where she layed down and passed on. Her old body had finally given up it's fight and she died with a smile still on her face. Her age is ancient at 4 hours and 53 minutes.

Next, it is Ise's turn to return to the world and she arrived with an excited grin decorating her face! I plopped her down in the norn house where Kunie had passed away, but after her body had disappeared in a puff of sparkly dust. Ise comes from a time waaaay back in albia, as you can see, and has butterfly and zebra norn genetics. I think she's a really beautiful norn with her stripes and colorful wings. She imediately took a liking to Chestnut.

Well thats it for today. Thank you again for reading! Also, be aware that you are now able to leave comments right on the blog at the bottom. I fixed it so it would accept from anyone, and don't forget to take interest in the new poll on the page!

A Calm Winter

Today's post starts with a death, not so mysterious. Fermund here dropped dead, at my surprise due to his young age. His death, after close inspection, was determined to be the result of starvation. This doesn't concern me however, there is plenty of food on the ground and the lower level of the bridges the norns now hang out on. Fermund starving to death is a result of his own stupidity and is his own fault. He could have easily traveled via the elevator to get some food. Because of this I am glad to have one less dumb norn, that strengthens my norn stock. As harsh as this sounds, one must remember the whole reason I breed my norns is for intelegence. Still, I liked Fermund due to his C1 parts and he was a cute norn. Rest in peace Fermund.
Speaking of cute, I followed Aruvuin for a little while simply because he is cute and I like him! I found him at the top level spending some time by himself. It was very peaceful up there with no other norns around and Aruvuin seemed to enjoy the peace. He spent his time enjoying the mysterious gadget he found up there. Little does he know that it's purpose is to bring lots of snow. He stood there gazing at it in curiosity, pushing it, pulling it, expressing to it and inspecting it from all sides.
After satisfying his curiosity with the gadget he walked right a little more to the icicle at the upper level. The cool air sorrounding it was refreshing and he pushed the icicle, cooling the air off even more. After spending a few moments playing with it he decided to move on to the nuts decorating the wooden planks. These he also played with just as he'd done the others, even eating a few here and there and all the while enjoying himself!

Meanwhile Kunie has taken up the habbit of following norns around. She sports a smile the whole time and so seems to enjoy it, not bothering to push, pull or hit anybody but just following them. She has latched onto her daughter Lilian and follows her around quite a bit. I caught her just standing by Lilian when Lilian was eating and watching over her like a good mother would.

Mankichirou lived to a ripe old age of ancient and passed away peacefully on the ground by the elevator. He has lived a full life, though not as long as some of his ancestors at just over four hours. RIP!

I spent some time simply watching my norns with nothing major going on. I noticed there were no new norn births which is unusual for my current population and pursued Kunie to find out why. I found Kunie doing nothing but resting inside the norn house on the bridges. She is only just over four hours old, but for some reason my females tend to live short lives and age quickly. Kunie had reached ancient before she hit four hours of age. She now lay doing nothing but resting in the norn home as if she'd retired herself, or become too old to do much. She doesn't even get up to eat which worries me. Looking at her stats I saw most of her vital organs were around 40% working which is normal for an ancient norn and means their time for passing is comming soon.  She still seems happy though, so I won't force any food on her or do anything to upset her.

My norns have not even expressed any interest in going back to the "tundra" part of my world, but i'll still leave it there on the hill by the cemetary in case anybody changes their mind and becomes adventerous. I've also distributed a few more heaters around set on cold to chill the air a little more. It doesn't seem to be working, but i'm sure the norns like that fact. Anyways my world is pretty peaceful so far. Till next time!

Another Quick Day

Welcome back to another addition in my Confessions of a Shee blog! Today was rather quick because I had a couple other things to do... I woke up way late :(
Anyways, here we go!
I like to keep track of how many norns I have in my world. I pulled out my norn window and counted 10 norns, then became confused because I have more than ten written down on paper in my creatures booklet. I figured out there are some norns missing in my world apparently! Most likely what it was, I probably forgot to erase a few norns from the booklet when they passed on. Lothar was not one of these. Lothar here is a forgotten norn that I must have accidentally missed all together. He was still written as alive in my booklet and documents. When I looked up the last known snapshot of him in the norn files I found this, so apparently he is dead. Rest in peace Lothar.

My favorite santa norn spends all of his time playing and eating. He rarely complains about anything and knows how to take care of himself. He walks around happily playing with icicles, toys and pushing random things, as you can see here! He is a care free norn and rarely gets caught up in the norn drama games such as "steal the apple from everyone else"

I was taking a picture of the sleeping norn in the foreground here when I thought it was a great opportunity to show Aruvuins first child, since you rarely get to see the females born in my world. On the very right is a baby girl norns head. Her name is Lilian, a very pretty name. She was born with her fathers head and mothers body. She is an adorable norn and I am eager to have her as a future queen!
Just about this time, another mysterious death icon appeared on my screen. Adoeete has passed away with no sign of toxin, bacteria and not near a wall or elevator. The only other explination is being slapped to death, even though this seems highly unlikely due to my norns being rather peaceful. Anything can happen though I guess! RIP Adoeete.

I decided to follow another of my favorite norns around for a while. The super smart Ghulam. Feeling in the mood to spoil him, I dropped a handfull of food, fruit and seeds down at his feet and he happily ate and enjoyed his unexpected treat. I will occasionally treat my norns this way when my own mood allows it. Most of the time i'm very strict with my "let norns grow up wild" rule. I want Ghulam to grow up healthy and strong.

After eating his fill of his treat he walked over to the elevator button and began pushing it to call the elevator. Something he is seen doing most of the time. Whenever I want to find Ghulam, I just check the general area of the elevators first. Like an ettin, he seems to be attracted to machinery and likes to play with it. Sorry about the norn mind reader agent hiding his face in this shot.

After the elevator has landed Ghulam waltzed right up to it and stepped in, smiling the whole time it moved up and down. He is always careful not to move around too much inside. The front tuft in the foreground in the elvator is Ghulams.

After riding the elevator up and down a few times he decided to get off at the norn house area. He walked over to the little gingerbread house that someone had already taken a bite out of, and ate a nice snack of candies. Feeling full and very happy he plopped down to rest right beside it.
I left Ghulam to rest and visited the norns on the ground. I was tickled when I saw Tatsushirou had made friends with a piece of food. You can see it carried in his hand by his feet, it is brown, triangle with white spots. Tatsushirou walked around carrying this thing back and forth for quite a while, not stopping to push or look at anything. It was curious watching him and trying to figure out exactly what he had in mind. Eventually he dropped the piece of food for something more interesting.

I have a couple elder harlequins in my world and for some reason they seem obsessed with the very triangle brown cake foods that was mentioned in the previous picture with tatsushirou. Just like the old harlequin in this picture, they often stand around holding pieces of food for no reason, or pushing the food vendor repeatedly for a very long time. I have no problem with this but it is quite curious... and why only the harlequins?

I mentioned at the beginning of this blog post that there wer 10 norns in my world. Because of the deaths mentioned there are now 8. The population number is going down but still rather strong. I have faith that my norns will keep it strong and not get too low. :)

Winter In The Terrarium

So far the norns have taken wonderfully to the Norn Terrarium. I have had complaints of hunger due to the low number of apples and seeds falling from the tree, but the norns aren't starving like they were in The North Pole. There are apples and seeds and they get snatched up quickly. A lower population of norns would prove to be beneficial to the hunger levels. Cold doesn't seem to be a problem even though i've added many ice crystals and lowered the temp in the terrarium as low as I can. I haven't seen one complaint of cold or one shiver.

Kunie is proving to be quite a firtile norn. She has become pregnant with her third set of twins! I took a picture of the impregnation. Unfortunately I was not watching close enough to see which of the next three babies that hatched were the twins themselves. One is obvious due to its C1 norn body, but the other is a little bit of a mystery. I had been watching the other norns. In the norn terrarium there are a few dangers that have already claimed the lives of some norns, such as the little pond to the very right.

In celebration of the holiday season I hatched another santa norn. I wanted two more christmas themed norn races in the game but I am unable to get them to work for some reason. Little Aruvuin here(I may be spelling his name wrong) makes up for all of them though. I was blessed to have hatched a super cute norn!
Aruvuin has an unusal mystery about him because of something he did once. I was watching him closely up by the norn cemetary because there is very little food up there and I don't want norns to starve, especially Aruvuin. My watchful eye caught some very strange behavior. He was standing in place doing nothing, not moving or anything. I found I couldn't click on him and pull him anywhere, and his expression kept changing. Panicking for some reason, I picked him completely up off the ground with my hand and set him back down gently a few inches away. He had not moved once, much like a slider norn. Finally I noticed brown Z's raising from his head, as you can see in the picture... he was asleep standing up with his eyes open! :O He only did this once though. I'm lucky to have caught a picture!

This is baby Reginald. He is another baby norn who hatched. I love the name the game gave him, its very easy to pronounce and a real one.. not like some of those names that look like the game just gobbly gooked some random letters together. As you can see, the apple norn genetics seem to dominate the population. I'm starting to get a little bored with seeing them.

I'm pretty sure Ghulam is one of the twins that Kunie had. Ghulam hatched and was imediately interested and curious about everything!

Tatsushirou hatched and began playing with the nearby drums. He seems to be a very average norn. Sorry I can't say much more about ya Tats..

Ghulam walked right over to the sludge gun soon after he had hatched and eaten his first meal from the ginger bread house in the norn home. He spent quite some time there, looking at, resting next to and walking around the sludge gun, displaying a ton of interest in it! He soon found out he could push it, and began shooting three sludge glops in both directions. Thankfully there were no other norns in the way so nobody got hit. He then walked further left to the mover and expressed the same interest in it. This interest in machinery reminded me much of an ettin. Perhaps he will grow up to be a norn nerd! He didn't get on the mover and move himself around though. So far none of my norns have learned that they can do that.

After quite some time passed of casually watching norns the death of Gin'ichirou found me. He had most likely become beaten to death by the elevator. Sometimes when norns get elevator happy, they take along for the ride with them other norns who don't want to go, and they end up walking into the elevator wall repeatedly. Poor Gin'ichirou.
Scrolling back over to where the majority of the population is hanging out I found a small number of norns standing in one place, passing around an apple. No.. they wearn't passing it around, they were trying to steal it from eachother. I'm sure you know what i'm talking about when I say that, it's probably a pretty common act. This little apple kept being taken from norn hand to norn hand as they were all trying to eat it. Finally, little Ghulam gets ahold of it and breaks from the group, high tailing it right, toward the pond!
I watched as Ghulam was persued at break neck speed by Tatsushirou! They disappeared behind the big snow mound right before the pond and my view was unfortunately blocked. When one of the norns finally re-emerged it was Tatsushirou, and he was holding the apple. I was a little sad that the little baby norn didn't win it, but Tatsushirou won it fair and square. He ran a little bit to the right, out onto the log over the pond so that Ghulam could not steal it back. I was happy to see that, when Ghulam emerged from the snow hill, he was holding a seed and looked very happy with it.
