A Lonely Apple Cauldron

I am going to start off today's blog with news of a couple of visitors. A couple have died and not made it past the IQ test.

This little guy didn't even make it out of the warp room. He stayed there all of his life and didn't even move. There are others in there just like him who are probly resigned to his fate.

This little guy DID make it out of the warp room, and into the norn meso. I cammed over there to pick him up and drop him successfully into Tulu to join the rest of the norn population when he suddenly keeled over and died. I guess the effort to get to the meso was too much for him.

Now for some cute, and good news! Little Yorkie was the first to hatch today, and is the son of Levio and Liane. Welcome to the world Yorkie! Yorkie has a very unusual and bumpy looking body due to his sprites. He is cute all the same. He is very active and energetic, always running around. The first thing he did after hatching was pop out of his little egg and begin walking left, looking at everything he passed along the way. When he came to a little pumpkin toy, he picked it up and played with it, carrying it around a little bit!

Most of the norns are hanging out in the home area since I dropped the candycorn cauldron there with the popcorn one so I spend most of my time there as well, watching the norns. Over comes Leyti. I suppose he felt lonely all alone by the apple cauldron! I was happily surprised to see him leave it, and join everyone else for once. The first thing he did was march over to the popcorn cauldron and stake his claim on it, expressing "Leyti get food" sternly and picking up a piece of popcorn while becomming angry. He just looks about to stomp anyone who dares take some from him!

  

Meanwhile another male birth in the world is to be celbrated. Keeping the world thriving with male norns is little Kiyohisa. He looks very halloweeny and is another calm, reserved norn. He seems to keep in the background a lot.

After quite a while of watching the norns in the norn home I followed some stray ones out into the graveyard. I found cute little Yorkie in the pumpkin patch playing. If there were any other norns around I'd swear he was playing hide and seek, peeking from behind the pumpkins there!

It wasn't long that I was watching Yorkie when a death icon appeared on my screen, and knowing how many senior norns I had I wasn't surprised. I cammed to see who it was, and WAS surprised (though I don't know why..considering his age) to see it's Leyti. He appeared to go peacefully with a happy smile on his face. I guess he found happiness after all of that angry stomping over food afterall. Rest in peace Leyti!

The world continued as usual for a while. I try to make sure to follow every norn so they don't get into trouble, or kill themselves by walking into walls. I found Leyti's apple cauldron with one solitary norn laying by it, not even being used. I think the cauldron looks a little lonely without Leyti to guard it. I think the cauldron misses Leyti too. What is Tulu going to be like without Leyti!

The cauldron area didn't stay vacant for long. A few norns take a trip over once in a while when I put some more apples on the ground from the cauldron. I don't know why, but Kenjurou became angry and began stomping his foot for no apparent reason. I have never before seen an angry C1 norn face and so just had to take a snapshot of this! Look at all of those forehead wrinkles! I didn't know they were so wrinkly. His forehead almost looks like that of a sphynx cat!

 Ikku also passed on due to old age. Both Ikku and Leyti passed on at age 5 hours and 39 minutes exactly. Isn't it a coincidence how Ikku passed on just infront of the grave stone, maybe he knew something! I hope in the future I'll get to see more bald little heads running around my world.

Away from the graveyard, back in the norn home, I find Levio where he has been for quite some time. It looks like he has been inducted into the rainbow brothers group. They stood there like this for a couple hours straight.. thats what they do.

Vinsu and Meinbod also died. I'm not quite sure what killed Vinsu, but i'm pretty sure Meinbod died from running into the wall too much. I didn't get there in time to save him unfortunately.

Meet another new male addition to the world. When I grabbed this little baby norns hand as soon as he hatched to gather his stats I was taken aback by the name. It's scary complicated and i'm not even sure how to pronounce it! He came out named Matchitehew. Little matchitehew hatched by the popcorn cauldron where he was layed, away from the other norns at the current time, and set out walking left to explore the world.

A little while later over comes a few norns, Liane and Levio included. I found little Levio hiding behind both cauldrons now and peeking over once in a while. I didn't catch him peeking straight forward in this snapshot but he was mostly. I'm happy to see he has broken away from the rainbow brothers. I swear they're not quite right.

One more birth to end my post tonight. Meet little Palladin. His name has got to be my favorite name among all of my norns currently in my world. Not only is it pronounceable, make sense, but it is also actually something! This little norn is among many born with two tails, which I find utterly interesting! I hope he grows up and old and lives a long, healthy norn life!


There are now many new norns in my world, and fewer elders than there once was. Hopefully tomorrow wont be riddled with as many sad endings, and more new beginnings!

Next Reigning Queen

Thats right, Jinia has finally passed over after being an elder for quite a while. Her death was peaceful and happy as the females before her. She has lived to produce many offspring, of them three daughters that will be experiencing Kono Sekai Wa in the far future. Thank you for your contributions Jinia!

Meet the new norn queen, Liane. Liane has C1 norn with apple norn mixed in. She has apple norn head, arms and legs, and C1 norn body. I think she has two tails too. The little curl on her forehead is beyond cute and I could gaze at that hair forever! Liane is a little norn that seems to be a little bit reserved but still knows how to be happy. She gets along well with the other norns as well.

Liane made her way out of the norn home and into the graveyard into a crowded pack of norns! I lost her for a little while among everyone! I had to be patient, and pick the other norns away so that I could find her to take a picture! They sort of mobbed around her, but she seemed to be happy disappearing into the crowd.

Liane made her way accross the graveyard to the apple cauldron Leyti lords over. She helped herself right to the apples without a thought and little Leyti just stood there and let her! Leyti must be feeling very generous, or maybe he just likes Liane instinctively. Leyti shared his apples with Liane! When she was full she layed down right by Leyti and the cauldron and rested.

I scrolled over to the norn home, leaving Liane to rest, and found an adorable sight. One of the rainbow brothers is by the cauldron while the other norn is resting by it. I'm not quite sure who the other zebra striped norn is, but There is Levio, peeking over the cauldron at him like usual! Levio loves to hide behind the cauldron and peek over as if he is being a naughty norn.

I'm not quite sure when Lianes pregnancy happened but out popped Liane's first little boy norn. Liane has previously had 2 little girls, and here is little Meinbod. As soon as he hatched he began walking around eating carrots. He seems to enjoy the carrots very much!

Just then Meinbod and Liane cross paths as Liane is on her way back to the norn home. I followed her, only to find her make her way to the popcorn! She isn't related to Jinia, but displays some of her qualities of liking popcorn. Levio and this little baby norn were the only ones there at the time. Levio and Liane shared the popcorn together and it was very touching. They stood there eating popcorn just the two of them for quite a while.

Not long into the popcorn eating, I heard the telltale signs of kisspopping. I was proud of Levio to finally kisspop for the first time! The sight of them sharing food together then kisspopping made me think of them being on a date together! It was so cute. I wonder what their little baby will look like.

The last bit of news for today is a little bit of a sad one. We had a young death. Taheiji has died. He was being a bad little norn and trying to eat the other norns for quite a while so I had slapped him a couple of times. He must have been a weak or delecate little norn because it was only a couple of slaps from my hand. It wasn't my intention at all and I felt bad afterwords. I'm very sorry Taheiji. :T

Influx

Ikku has aged into elder and I just had to take a snapshot of him going bald. He looks adorable and a little strange with that zebra norn body, but I love to watch him wandering about. He mostly sticks to the norn home eating the candycorn and popcorns and wanders around with the other norns. He hasn't dialed down his activity very much considering his newly aquired old age.

In that very same norn home the new colorful norn brothers, whom i'm going to nickname the rainbow brothers, have decided this is their new hangout. They never leave the comfort of it but rarely to snatch up a few stray food pieces from outside. Jinia whom loves the popcorns very much and the candycorns littering the floor often is in there as well, and little rainbow brother Taheiji with the very pretty smiling moon on his red belly, has taken this opportunity to kisspop and create an egg with jinia. Jinia didn't seem to mind and giggled the whole time.

Out from Jinia and Taheiji's egg hatches little Levio (>:D). Levio inherited his fathers pretty belly and his mothers pretty head. He imediately began running around very energetically and always wore a smile! He is a very energetic little norn, pushing this, hitting that, picking up things and always busy. I wonder sometimes if he has a norns version of ADD. I watched him play as it was very entertaining!

A little while later I became concerened by a sudden mash up of kisspopping noises and a lot of unusual sounds. I scrolled to them to find poor jinia in what appeared to be a mess of rainbow brothers. They were all gathered around the popcorn cauldron and seemed to be holding Jinia hostage with kisspops. She didn't look very happy and try as she might couldn't seem to get away.  I felt bad and attempted to drag her away with the hand only to have each consecutive kisspop release her from my hand. After a frustrated barrage of slappings on the rainbow brothers they finally released her to wander.

I want to keep a watchful eye on Leyti since he has such problems in Tulu. I found him stuffing his face with apples again like usual, and since this seems to keep him happy I scrolled away and left him be. I came back this one time, however, to find him suddenly turn to me after a couple of seconds, and express. I don't know what he was saying since he was talking nornish, but he actually stopped eating to speak! Leyti ceasing to stuff his face with apples for anything is unheard of! I had to get a picture of this experience! Not long after a second norn appraoched and began eating the apples causing Leyti to go into a fit of rage, stomping his feet and expressing anger.

Meet little Kenjurou. He is the third male norn born in Tulu and quite handsome. This little guy seems to be a little more calm and collected than the other norns. He mostly wanders around pushing toys, and doesn't seem to be in a hurry to do anything.

By now Levio has grown into a pretty youth stage! I just love the colors these rainbow brothers bring into my world, and I love his shiny red eyes. Hopefully Levio won't be as obsessive as them though. So far he seems to be doing fine wandering around like any normal norn would. He has a lot of fun teasing the rainbow brothers though by hiding behind the popcorn cauldron! I find him there often, and don't know quite what he's doing, but he peeks around the edge of it at the rainbow brothers.


Four new arrivals have come into my world. These visitors don't look very promising though. They mostly do an extreme version of what the rainbow brothers do, which is stand around looking at eachother and go nowhere. The rainbow brothers at least made it out though.

 In order they are: Quirin, Ryuko, Sharaku and Zen'ichirou. They all look pretty, but their behaviors leave a lot to be desired. If they're ever going to live in my world, they have to make it out of the warp room! Will they ever make it out?

New and Old

Today we got a few new visitors and they're quite pretty! They all arrived nearly one right after the other. In order they are: Cord (obviously), Goetz, Grady, Taheiji, and Landelin. General health check found them healthy as any norn baby.

 I left them alone to pass the IQ test out of the warp room and arrived back in Tulu to find Jinia has aged.

Jinia proved to make quite a cute elder norn and an energetic one at that. She often walks around kisspopping with random norns, chasing down food items to eat, and I see her wandering around the whole of Tulu all the time.


I don't know if maybe she has athritis or what, but she has reverted to crawling on all fours wherever she goes though. It is cute.

Taheiji entered Tulu after passing the IQ test with some of his brothers only to find himself frightened stiff. I found him in this pose and when slapped he began running like this. I felt bad for him, but hopefully he will learn not to be so afraid of everything, like the other norns learned!

Grady also passed the test and made it into his world. A while later though, I found he had passed away by the giant skull. I'm not sure exactly from what, and I was a little sad to find this because he was quite a pretty norn.

I have been fighting with Leyti over the apples lately. He seems to have gone apple crazy. The apple cauldron is the only place he ever hangs out, and as soon as some appear from the dispenser he snaps them up. I clicked and clicked, depositing what must have been hundreds of apples on the ground for him and he spent around a whole minute doing nothing but snapping them up! Other norns have a slim chance of eating any, so I try to sneak in a few clicks on the cauldron when Leyti dares wander away too far, but it is never any use.. When the norn stampede comes for the apples Leyti always manages to arrive first and eat them.

 A norn has managed to snap them up one time, and I watched as Leyti got angry and began stomping his foot. He never attacked the other norn, but he sure put on a display. I put in a couple more fruit sources in attempts to spread out the "fruit traffic" but the norns seem to like these apples best.


The other norns who passed the IQ test were Goetz, Cord and Taheiji. They've aged a bit and grown very pretty colors. I just hope they don't harbor some genes i'm not aware of that might injure my gene pool. Congratulations norns! And I hope you live happily in Kono Sekai Wa.

Life As We Know It

Welcome back, to today's rather long post. First I have results on the rest of the norns that have gotten lost along the way of the migration. I have a list of the rest that didn't make it and those you will no longer be seeing. These norns are: Xerxes, Benjamin, Ukichirou, Fulko, Yoshiroo, Juushirou and last but not least Gaston.
There are now only 5 adult norns left in my world, plus one newly hatched which I will tell you about!

I was pleased to see Jinia has calmed down quite a bit since the last time we saw her downing those wines. She now struts around the whole of Tulu wearing a happy smile, eating and playing with the other norns. She is even much braver than the other norns, pushing and playing with the skulls that decorate Tulu.

After a bit of playing she wedged herself amongst a group of norns in another adorable snoozefest.. I just love when all of the norns are sleeping at once!

A short time later I was pleased to see another Jinia pregnancy. Her halloween egg was layed by the pumpkins, but she is not afraid of them! This girl is really impressive. Most of the other norns just run away and retreat the scary toys!

I followed Jinia all the way to the little home where she promptly helped herself to the popcorn from the newly released halloween pack for C2! She seemed to enjoy it so much that she took a rest, and then continued to munch hungrily on the popcorns! A little while later another norn came and joined her, but he didn't eat as much. This seems to be a Jinia thing.

When Jinias little egg finally hatched, out popped little Kazuya. Kazua is a little girl, another born with C1 Grendel legs. I find the parts from other species fascinating and can't wait to see what she looks like all growed up. She began to wander around looking quite fascinated at everything and sampled some of the fruit the walking halloween tree was dropping.

After another short bit, another egg icon popped up on my screen and I found Jinia had layed another one. This egg was layed inside the home unlike the previous one, where it is nice and safe, and warm. Or maybe Jinia just didn't want to leave the popcorn.

I wanted to check on the poor, terrified Leyti from previous only to find him wandering around with an actual smile on his face! I was so happy to see that he was starting to adjust to the new world. I found him playing with and eating the food and fruit all the time, which is a little weird considering he's surrounded by toys. You'd think a norn would rather play with those! He still occasionally displays acts of anger by stomping and expressing his anger, but this fades quickly now.

While I was watching Leyti, little Vinsu was wandering back and forth accross the screen, seemingly with concentrated intent which I found curious. Closer inspection and upon watching him for a few seconds I suddenly realized he was chasing the wandering halloween tree. It wasn't currently dropping any fruits, but I'm betting when it did he wanted to be there to snatch them up!

I'm very happy to announce Tulu's first little male norn born! This is little Kiyohisa! He popped out of his halloween egg and began quickly snapping up the little candycorns laying about before wandering out into the graveyard with the rest of the norns. He seems to have inherited his mothers braveness because he didn't seem bothered at all by the wandering skeletons and ghosts.


So far everything seems to be going well. I hope that all of my norns continue to adjust and settle into their new home. Until next time.

Crazy, thats how it goes...

The migration has successfully occured, but not without it's many and discouraging setbacks. It was much more difficult than I anticipated and we lost over half our herd on the way. Among those confirmed dead are Xavier, Veltin, Naoichirou, Wohali, Gerhard, Wikvaya and Varus. These norns did not survive the migration. Others got lost along the way and can still make it, though i'm not holding my breath.

It took all last night and half of today to successfully get everything settled. With so much time spent there was not much to actually play. And as it goes, the norns who did make it seem to be having difficulty settling into their new home. Their new home for this month is my favorite halloween room, Tulu! Set in a graveyard (or is it cemetary?) with a little home nearby made of cold stone. I hope they will grow to like it here.

First is Leyti, whom I noticed began freaking out and never seemed to stop doing so. Oddly enough I find him in this pose, not moving and frozen until he is slapped. I don't know if he is frozen with fear, but his fear drives are high when he does this.

 Leyti seems to be spending most of his time running away from everything! He certaintly doesn't like his new home and is often voicing how scared he is. The ghosts and laughing pumpkins are quite intimidating!

After some time passed he seemed to settle in a little more... or not? He began exhibiting another behavior, anger. He never tried to hit anything, but liked to get things and stomp around angrily. I've no idea what has him so angry! I think the new world is getting to him, and he's going crazy! Tulus version of "space madness"?

The first thing Jinia did was settle by the wine vendor and have herself some glasses. It worried me to see her snuggling up to the wine so much with such a worried look on her face. She sure seems to love it.

 A suiter came along and Jinia became pregnant with her first egg. She spent her whole pregnancy by the wine vendor, and layed her egg there as well. I'm just glad alcohol doesn't affect unborn children.

Jinias first Tulu child is a little girl named Kunoko. Can you recognise the norn sprites that the father was? :P Little Kunoko is having a blast in Tulu and wandering around with ghusto eating well and playing with lots of toys! She seems to fit right in!
